Using Appreciative Inquiry and an Asset-based Approach
                to Tell a New Story About Seniors

Objectives:  By attending this session, participants will:

  • Learn about how one agency survived and has transformer after a merger.
  • Understood the key elements and process for an Appreciative Inquiry approach to program development or enhancement.
  • Discover ways to utilize personal stories of older adults to inspire staff and others to make changes in existing programs and create new ones.
  • Learn a "new story to tell" about the aging process and what older adults value most.

About our Host:  The Village of Tanglewood offers gracious, luxury retirement living in the Galleria area.  Houston-based Bridgewood Properties, premier developer of high-quality senior living facilities, owns the property. Retirement Center Management, a Houston-based firm manages the Tanglewood, along with 3500 other senior living units.

Cost Dinner & Program:
The Dinner/Program cost is $25 for Non-Members and $15 for Supporting Members.  For Students/Ombudsmen who are Members, the evening fee is $5.  Dinner is free for members who are at the Sustaining & Corporate Membership Levels. The reduced fee for Guests attending with a Member is $20.
