COVID-19 “Ask the Experts in Geriatric Health”

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has presented a unique threat to older adults. To provide guidance and updated information on how to work and care for our most vulnerable patients, clients and staff in this unprecedented epidemic, the faculty of the South East Texas Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program at Baylor College of Medicine will be hosting a virtual town hall to answer your questions. Established in July 2019, the SETxGWEP draws together inter-professional experts, from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health and community-based organizations, to provide training that improves health care for older adults and maximizes patient and family engagement. Whether you want guidance on how best to keep clients safe, how to get staff back to work safely, or just updated information on the virus threat… the South East Texas Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program faculty is here to help.

RSVP and Submit questions to help us develop content that matters to YOU. SETxGWEP clinicians will answer your questions and discuss:

  • Updated information on the coronavirus and the risk to older adults
  • How to take infection control precautions to protect your clients
  • Practical advice on getting back to work safely
  • Supporting your clients and staff to navigate their own health, safety & sanity
